Eric Kraus Fan Music from the heart and soul. There is so much emotion behind this album. It shines in the many complex layers of dark drones and resolving harmonies. Well done - your father would be proud for certain! Favorite track: Constructive Thoughts.

Rare Blood This album soars, with shades of light and dark. Sometimes questioing, always heartfelt. The fact it was created in such circumstances is remarkable. A primary source. Defiant and beautiful.

about

So here. It. Is. My first ever released album.

Today marks the tenth anniversary of my father's passing, and what could be a better way to celebrate him than an album release? After all, he was that one person who inspired me to pursue and explore music creation freely, thought improvisation, on my own terms, outside of the post-soviet music teaching system, which is still quite oppressive to this day.

I'm eternally grateful for that, Dad.

Considerable part of the motivation to make this album is the russian war in Ukraine, and fears and anxieties that it brought along. Everything changes when your life and lives of your loves ones and everyone around you is threatened in many new and exciting ways. Very very real, physical ways.

I just felt the pressure to leave something behind. Just in case.

I'm also hugely motivated by curiosity of the whole album creation process, and how the quite broad range of emotions and vibes in these tracks started to make sense, to work together as a whole.

And I'm not mourning that past life. I'm building something new.
